Online Workshop: One Degree, many Options
: How to Identify Your Career Goals and Navigate a Challenging Job Market
Sooner or later everyone is confronted with the simple-sounding but complex question "What is my professional goal?". In today's economically challenging times, knowing what you want - and how to position yourself - before you start the application process is more important than ever on the German labour market. This workshop supports you in reflecting on your very own professional and personal needs and defining a career goal on this basis, so that you can navigate a tighter job market with clarity and confidence. After a presentation part, you will go on a search for your objectives and your individual "WHY" in short individual and group work phases.
In a second step, we will look at how you can strategically realise your goals on the German labour market and consider the legal conditions for international workers. Emphasis is placed on your personal strengths and resources and how you can communicate them as a brand to prospective employers, including how to leverage this brand effectively when the job market is tight. We will also explore how to use AI tools to reflect on your strengths and translate them into a compelling brand statement for LinkedIn and other professional communication.
This workshop is aimed at all international students, regardless of semester.
